Holiday Celebration in Yonkers
This year Daybreak was fortunate to be part of an Annual Benefit Event in Yonkers. Many members of the community were present for a great brunch to raise money for the Developmentally Disabled Population.
Santa Claus is coming to town this year as Operation Santa Claus hosts its annual fundraising benefit for developmentally disabled children this Sunday, December 2nd at Fairways at Dunwoodie Golf Club. Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano will serve as this year’s Operation Santa Claus Honorary Chairman. “Every year during the holiday season our city comes together for this special event that helps improve the lives of hundreds of children in our communities facing difficult developmental challenges,” said Operation Santa Claus’ Honorary Chairman, Mayor Mike Spano. “It is an honor for me to join our residents, businesses and community leaders in the spirit of giving to help support our children and their families in need.” Operation Santa Claus is a charitable bi-partisan organization made up of public officials, local merchants, civic groups and residents whose mission is to raise money for special adaptive equipment for our children not only during the holiday but throughout the year. Every dollar raised goes to providing this much needed equipment “We are very fortunate to live in a city that is always there to support one another,” said Mayor Spano. “That is the true meaning of community and I could not be more proud to be part of it. I want to thank all Yonkers residents and organizations for their continued good will and generosity.”
The Operation Santa Claus fundraising event will be held Sunday December 2nd, at Fairways at Dunwoodie at Dunwoodie Golf Club, 1 Wasylenko Lane in Yonkers, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. To reserve tickets or for further information, please contact Ann Neville at (914) 963-0790.
